Newly Weds Foods Banbury

Based on Lombard Way, Newly Weds Foods has been operational in Banbury since 2011. During that time our employee team has grown, and we now employ over 250 people. We have a Bakery, Blend factory and a dedicated Gluten Free factory. We operate over a range of shifts in our production facilities, have on site services including a QA team, Engineers, Supply Chain, Logistics, Payroll and HR and we also have a dedicated on-site R&D team.

The Position

Newly Weds Foods Ltd is looking to recruit Production Operatives in our Blend Department -

12 hour rotational night shift (the working hours are 7pm to 7am and one week you will be working Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and the next week you would be working Wednesday and Thursday, and so on).

The role will include weighing up, mixing, packing, stacking and material handling of our products. This is a physically demanding role and involved consistently lifting bags, throughout the shift, that weigh up to 25kgs.

What does it involve?

- To work as a Production Operative in the Blend Department where the main activities include weighing up, mixing, packing, stacking and material handling;

- Ensure a quality process throughout from the product, to the packaging, to adhering to corporate quality standards;

- Ensure relevant paperwork is completed on time, and suggest improvements where applicable;

- Adhere to corporate sanitation standards at all times;

- Adhere to NWF health and safety policy, reporting any near misses or issues observed relating to quality, safety, sanitation, machinery or throughput to the Department Manager;

What skills will you need?

- Literate and numerate;

- Physically fit (the role involves consistently lifting bags, throughout the shift, that weigh up to 25kgs)

- Basic health and safety knowledge;

- Ability to problem solve;

- Computer literate;

Location – Newly Weds Foods, Banbury

Working hours / pattern

12 hour rotational night shift (the working hours are 7pm to 7am and during the first week you would be working Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and the second week you would be working Wednesday and Thursday. The pattern is 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off)
