Do you enjoy working with children? Then this could be the right role for you.

We are looking for committed individuals whom have a passion for working with looked after children under 10, who have experienced early years trauma.

Are you able to be flexible and resilient and do shift work, including sleep-ins and weekends? (Yes, we work bank holidays including Christmas day)

ALL APPLICANTS MUST HOLD A VALID FULL MANUAL DRIVING LICENCE

You will be part of a small team of adults, supporting and parenting up to two children in a beautiful home with an experienced and dedicated management team.

Our Children have experienced significant trauma and attachment in their lives and require therapeutic parenting.Our adults use PACE and a therapeutic model of parenting, including a DDP approach, you will receive full training and induction.

No previous experience is required, just eager to learn and of course be able to be playful.

Responsibilities

* Acting in a parent role, meeting the needs of the children in line with our Pace model of care.

* Being flexible, able to do shift work including a minimum of two sleep ins a week and on occasion take the children on holiday.

*Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

* Ensuring our home environment is kept to a high standard.

Solent Child Care is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children at all times. We expect all our staff to share our commitment to childrens welfare. We carry out robust vetting and DBS checks on all our staff.

Full and Part-time positions are available, however, you will need to be able to commit to sleep-ins, shift work, including weekends and bank holidays.

**Salary stated includes a minimum of two sleep-ins per week with full-time hours. 32 hours will be pro-rated.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 32/40 per week

Salary: £27,000.00-£30,500.00 per year
