Head of Security and Risk

Job purpose:

A senior leadership role in all security and risk strategy and assurance management. Ensuring Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work is operating efficiently, effectively and safely in line with statutory compliance, best practice, expected high standards and operational business strategies. Working with all departments and external service partners to ensure delivery in line with our overall Mission, Vision, Values and Objectives.

Key accountabilities:

· Support to the Estate Director in the effective running of a World Class Business Park.

· Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety Legislation and Company Health & Safety practices and procedures.

· Comply with legal/statutory responsibilities and obligations relating to security.

· Overall responsibility for security duties and obligations for the Park including direction, strategic development, performance, maintenance and training.

· Develop and deliver the overarching security and risk strategy for the Park, and contribution to general business planning.

· Developing and implementing security policies, protocols and procedures.

· Accountability and Management of the manned guarding service partner and contract.

· Responsible for all security management systems in accordance with the company plans and adherence to legislation and approved regulatory bodies’ processes and procedures.

· Management of the Electronic Security Services contract (access control, CCTV) working with colleagues within the technical teams.

· Responsibility for reviewing and updating all emergency procedures and crisis management plans relating to security incidents. Lead focus in security related crisis management incidents.

· Lead in liaison with law enforcement agencies, developing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

· Responsibility and accountability for the upcoming Protect Duty (Martyn’s Law). Understanding, planning and preparation in advance of this legislation. Act as the Designated Security Officer (DSO) under the new legislation.

· Creating and maintaining ‘intelligence networks’ exploring emerging threats and trends which may impact the estate.

· Create and chair engaging and informative security forums for security leads in guest companies on park, including regular networking and communication.

· Full financial accountability for associated budgets relating to security. Ensuring accurate tracking and involvement in forecast planning. To manage and report on service charge expenditure variation.

· Lead and manage KPIs across a number of key business areas.

· Provide input into regular operational management meetings and reports.

· Preparation of presentations for webinars, meetings and reports and assist in writing submission documents for external stakeholder engagement

· On-call support for the Business in relation to Emergency Procedures and Disaster Recovery.

· Guest Experience – working in collaboration with the Head of Guest Experience by supporting the planning, developing, implementation and delivery of this key focus area for the business including Events & Sports in-line with the business strategy.

· Effective stakeholder engagement with the leadership team.

· Other ad-hoc duties as may be required as part of the overall business.

Reporting Relationships:

· Reporting to: Estate Director

· Direct Reports: Guest Support Manager (Security) and Security Service Partner

· Working alongside the Head of Operations, Head of Guest Experience, Head of People & Culture and Head of Property Finance

· Strategic support to/from the Landlord’s Central Operations team

Personal Attributes:

· Previous strategic management position in a similar role, with a minimum of 5years experience

· Senior level experience of security governance

· CSyP Chartered Security Professional (desirable)

· IOSH Managing Safely (minimum) NEBOSH General Certificate (desirable)

· Appropriate understanding of all security management obligations, requirements and dynamics including BS7799, ISO17799 and BS7499

· Experience in managing and leading people

· Experience in planning and management of budgets

· Ability to prioritise within a multi-tasking environment, flexibility and attention to detail

· Innovatively driven

· Unquestionable integrity, discretion, ethical and professional approach to business, commitment and personal credibility

· Proactive attitude, strong organisational, project and stakeholder management skills

· Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Up to £90,000.00 per year
