Within this role you'll join the highly passionate, fast paced and forward-thinking early careers recruitment team who are responsible for the hiring of JLR's Apprentices, Graduates and Undergraduates.

The team have a passion for not only attracting the best talent but attracting diverse talent and providing equal opportunities for all. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conceptualise, operationalise and deliver external and internal events including at university campuses, at JLR sites, at 3rd party venues with partner event organisations and online to help inspire and attract talent for our undergraduate and graduate programmes.
  • Work with our Events & Projects Co-ordinator to organise all requirements for any engagement initiatives, for example volunteers, catering, merchandise and branded items, as well as ensuring correct procedure is followed, health & safety is adhered to, and spend is tracked appropriately.
  • Managing our "Campus Leads" project - where JLR employees get involved in student engagement and inspire future career choices, through technical talks, curriculum-development and more.
  • Work with the Early Careers Operational Recruitment Team and Events & Projects Co-ordinator, to create a plan for post-offer engagement activity, ensuring experiences are in line with JLR's modern luxury principles and candidates receive consistent and positive experiences to convert into hires.
  • Support the University Engagement Lead by contributing to how our university engagement strategy is aligned to business needs and creates effective outcomes for both JLR and students. This responsibility covers strategic, data-led decisions around which universities and organisations we partner with, how we engage with students effectively at all university year groups to pipeline into our early careers programmes, and working with internal stakeholders to ensure we develop the future skills we need to deliver our Reimagine strategy.
  • Provide a real focus on how we boost the quality and diversity of applicants that are interested in joining our programmes.



WHAT YOU-LL NEED
  • Creativity and innovative thinking to find new ways to attract students, particularly focused on critical skills, quality of application and the diversity of candidates we inspire.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the UK university market including student engagement, employment trends and the programme routes on offer to students.
  • Knowledge and experience of Early Careers recruitment and working with high-volume recruitment in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint capability.
  • Ability to gather data from a variety of sources and provide effective insight and analysis.
  • Strong influencing, engagement and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to project manage multiple events in a short space of time.


This role will involve supporting face-to-face engagement events across the UK, therefore geographical mobility and flexibility is essential, particularly in high-volume recruitment and inspiration windows.
