JOB PURPOSE

The Container Liner Division of ONE Group Europe services three major markets and one smaller market; Asia-Europe

The UK Marketing & Space Control team will be fully aware of the direction, focus, needs and aspirations of trade goals for the UK Division and thereafter encompass these requirements into guidance for all UK teams, primarily Sales. Ensuring said teams are fully aware of Trade goals and performance is in line with said targets.

Coordinate UK liner policy regarding Sales activities and act as the primary filter for all new business, rate requests and updates between UK Sales and Trade teams.

A (%) Team Working

In line with UK targets and Trade strategy, ensure UK sales requests are in line with said goals.

Management of space control through UK Customer Service Teams and Outside Sales, by maintaining and adhering to allocations / using standby within house systems

Provide Sales teams and other UK teams as appropriate with all service or other information that has been made available to the UK division, e.g. pricing, service, alterations, trade statistics, ONE strengths and weaknesses against competition.

Monitoring and reporting of current/ongoing ONE UK customer-base with continual assessment of account/customer base for potential de-selection, reduced scale action or increase.

Ensure UK liner policy is adhered to, i.e. pricing control.

Creation & update of UK pricing tariffs including haulage.

Inbound FAK export and import Tariff filing via offshore team & rate checking of said filings.

Maintain close contact / relationship with London trade teams.

Accurate and timely administration of e-mails, providing quotations and maintaining sales information on the database. Control of all ancillary deals up to trade / local mandates.

Compile and publish KPIs as required.

Skills, Qualifications and Expertise

  • Sound education with proven examination success, together with good command of written and verbal English. Professional qualifications preferable but not essential.
  • IT literate, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to interface with customers (internal), agents and senior management, across cultural boundaries.
